SAS Fitting Guide
Quality, comfort, and fit are very important to SAS, which is why SAS offers upwards of 90 to 100 distinct size and width combinations. This "Perfect Fit" ensures that people with exceptionally wide, narrow, or swollen feet can get a shoe that grips the heel securely without pinching the toes.
Characteristics of Leather Upper:
- Stretch: 5-10% (Can stretch up to a half-size or a full width over time.)
- Behaviour: The leather fibre will loosen and permanently conform to the unique shape of your foot.
- Break-in Period: May require 1 to 3 weeks to soften and stretch.
Characteristics of Mesh Upper:
- Stretch: 15-30% (The stretch will be instantaneous up to a half-size or a full width.)
- Behaviour: The mesh will fit snug as it does on day 1 as day 100.
- Break-in Period: None. The greater the mesh is stretched, the greater the elastic tension.

Tips for Measuring and Fitting
When you go up in size, the width will also increase.
- All styles fit differently.
- Custom orthotics may require added depth in the shoe and make it fit differently; consider going up in width if necessary.
